About
Örekilsälven has its source from the lakes in the area of Ed in Dalsland. The river flows down to Rölanda and then past Gesäter to about 5 km then flowed into Bohuslän. The river then continues on to Lake Kärnsjön just north of Munkedal. After about 5 km below the lake at E6, the river flows together with Munkedal River to after another few miles, finally flowing into the sea in Saltkälle fjord at Munkedals Harbour.

Fish care area includes the stretch from the outlet to the sea in Saltkälle fjord to the lake Kärnsjön outlet at Torp dam in the north. Salmon fishing in the river has a long history and in the Middle Ages, the monks went fishing at Dragsmarks Monastery, salmon in the river. The fishing is divided into three sections, A, B and C. The top two sections are special fly-fishing areas uploads.
Every day's fishing' to stretch A and B, in that alternately sold 20st day card for the respective stretch. On the route where it is sold 20st day card, no other fishing besides, max12 st season ticket holders. On the opposite stretch sold the 3st day card and there you can also fish for fishing right owners and the other max 12st with season tickets.

Total catch, salmon in 2011 was 271 pc. re-exposed 179 pc. If we add up the catch and re-exposed the number of salmon to a total of 450 pieces. In A, B, and C-sections were caught 260 salmon. Total weight was around 1.238 kg, average weight of 4.57 kg.
