About
Viskan has its source from the lake systems around Borås in West and runs through Ulricehamns, Borås and Mark municipalities. Downstream Borås widens Viskan and creating small lakes and ponds, as Djupasjön Guttasjön and Rydboholms dams. Flows out into sea at Kloster Fjord, about 1.6 mil north of Varberg in Varberg Municipality. Salmon fishing is conducted in Viskans lower streams.

Fishing on Viskan conducted from the mouth and about 6 km up the upper limit of the villages Näs and Stengård. There is some good fishing stretches at Lekvad and Kullagård Veddige and at Åsbro Åskloster, tributary Surtan are fine fly-fishing stretches in areas around Hyssna.
