Ronnenby river has its source on the hook fjord about 1 mil southeast from Tingsryd. The river is about 3.5 mil long and empties into the sea at Ronneby harbor. County Board, Ronneby Municipality and Ecology line of Bräkne Hoby ​​college have worked together to create the conditions for good fishing.

Ronneby river is known for its many large rainbow trout, although no releases are made. The river holds the Swedish record for rainbow trout, which is just over 9 kg.

Fishing is concentrated on a small stretch about 1 km just below the waterfall. The upper two hundred meters closest to the case is reserved for fly fishing.

Sea trout population has its own reproduction in Sörby stream but also includes some support stocking.
