About
Lyckebyån is about 9 mil long, with headwaters from Småland highlands about 3.5 mil east of Växjö. It flows down through the blah Emmaboda and follow the piecemeal route 28 on its way out into the bay Lyckeby at Karlskrona.
Fishing
The fishing beat is about 15 km with alternating calm waters and flowing lines. The river is known for its large sea trout, the largest caught weighed 13.6 kg 1992nd In the 90s there were reported 11 sea trout over 10lbs. Fishing takes place mainly on the last stretch towards the sea where most trout are caught.
Lyckebyån ranks No. 2 in Blekinge, this caught a lot of fish especially in the spring.

The best fishing for trout year in the spring, but the good temperature and good water levels may also fall to be rewarding.
