About
Stjördal is a very famous salmon river, in North Trøndelag. Is about 4.8 mil from the power plant dam in Meråker and down to the outlet in Trondheim Fjord at Stjördal. From Meråker runs Stjördal almost flush with the road E14 all the way down to the sea, making the river easily accessible. There is also a bi River, which is interesting and it is Forra, which flows into the Stjördalselva at Hegra. Forra has its source from Lake Feren and is smaller and more contrary to nature, and are perceived by some as an exciting river to fish in.
Fishing
Stjördalelva is known as a fine fly-fishing river, with many fine streams, both in the upper part of the river, which at the bottom. Many stretches of gravel and sand bottom and plenty of rear space, for those who need elbow room for its fly fishing. Stjördalelva is often shallow, with a very narrow depth of furrow, after one edge. Which makes it relatively easy vadad, in many places and the bottom is often composed of small pebbles and sand, it makes it even better. There are many opportunities to fish on private exclusive fishing camps, or on any of the fishing association's all strech. Available on both the upper and lower Stjördalelva and also in bilateral river Forra.
