Tana is a gigantic big river and the river in Europe, where it caught most salmon. It is salmon live in incredible about 110 mil if you include all the small rivers. Runs from the Finnish forest and is a border river to Finland in about 28 mil. Flows into the Tanafjorden and is one of Norway's northernmost river. The bottom approximately 6 miles on Norwegian land is the hottest.
Tana is Norway's caugt richest salmon river . 2009 was taken 34 tonnes in 2010 was taken 43 tons and in 2011 it was taken 37 tonnes and it in the Norwegian part of the river.
Fishing
Fishing opportunities are great in Tana and there is plenty of water and places for those who seek wilderness and extra adventurous fishing. There are about 35 pieces of small rivers to Tana, the salmon go up in; some with their own salmon varieties and the most famous is Anarjohka, Karasjohka, masking and johka Gorzzejohka. In good water conditions can salmon go up to Lesjavie Storvannet. The lowermost 7.7 mile runs entirely on Norwegian soil, and that is where the fishing has been most known.
