About

Alta river ( Altaelva ) is widely known in the press and on television for its amazing great salmon fishing. Flows into the Alta Fjord and salmon live about 4.5 mil. Here there were large demonstrations in the mid-1980s, to expansion of the river's beautiful valleys, but it did not, unfortunately, and the river was developed 1987th In the years after the expansion was shown a substantial decline in the fishery and it was on the verge halved catch levels. Just what the protesters did. But Alta came back and after a few years approached the river, old good shape and the fishing is more sought after than ever before.

Alta is known for its big salmon.

Fishing in Alta is high exclusive and it takes a lot of money to fish the most exclusive stretches. As Jöraholmen, and Vina and Santia. These stretches are given to the highest bidder and there are large amounts. There is another possibility and it is in the annual fishing lottery that is every winter, for this summer's salmon fishing. When it raffling aut the lower stretches and a few weeks on the better stretches.
